Co-Founders and Board Members
Miroslav Hazer
Chairperson and Co-Founder
Miroslav Hazer brings over 20 years of international leadership experience across corporate, nonprofit, and public sectors to his role as founding Chairperson of Haus Europa. His journey spans more than 40 countries and reflects a deep commitment to building bridges between sectors, disciplines, and cultures.
Before co-founding Haus Europa, Miroslav spent a decade at IBM in senior leadership roles across Europe and Asia Pacific, including Chief of Staff to the CEO of IBM Asia-Pacific, External Relations Leader for Asia-Pacific and Central and Eastern Europe, and global communications lead at IBM Watson IoT Headquarters in Munich. His corporate experience taught him firsthand how innovations work in complex organizational systems.
His earlier career included managing EU-funded media projects at the European Journalism Centre in the Netherlands and leading logistics at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Prague. This foundation in open societies and democratic dialogue continues to inform his approach to systemic change.
A practitioner-scholar at the intersection of leadership and systems change, Miroslav holds degrees from the University of Oxford (Saïd Business School), Warwick Business School (MBA), and United Nations University (UNU-MERIT), where his research focused on organizational identity and public policy during times of crisis. He’s also trained in coaching, design thinking, and contemporary art, reflecting his belief that creativity and curiosity are essential to navigating complexity.
Living in Tux, Austria, where Haus Europa’s Alpine programs take place, Miroslav embodies the organization’s commitment to rooting innovation in nature, vulnerability, and human connection. His leadership philosophy centers on the belief that what got us here won’t get us there – requiring an evolution in thinking toward systemic innovations that serve collective needs while honoring individual agency.
Petr Juza
Co-Founder and Board Member
Petr Juza brings the perspective of a second-generation entrepreneur who understands viscerally that implementation – not ideation -determines which futures become reality. As Business Director of the Petr Juza Group since 2010, he has guided its transformation from local organic farming in Bohemia to international ventures spanning hospitality, real estate, and wellness across Austria and Greece.
His academic foundation – combining degrees in Business Administration (MBA), Public and Social Policy, Environmental Management, and International Relations from institutions including Charles University and Czech University of Life Sciences – provides him with the interdisciplinary lens essential for systemic innovation. Yet it’s his lived experience navigating complex family business dynamics, cross-cultural teams, and multi-country operations that brings authentic understanding to Haus Europa’s mission.
As someone who grew from Czechoslovakia’s transformation through to building businesses across Europe, Petr embodies the journey from individual achievement to collective value creation. He brings deep understanding of what it means to implement change without the structured support systems of large corporations, the reality facing most innovators and family businesses across Europe.
Building the Ecosystem
The co-founders are currently forming Haus Europa’s extended board and strategic advisory committee, drawing on their international networks to ensure diverse perspectives and deep expertise guide the organization’s development.
Working with an international network of experts across Europe and Asia, Miroslav and Petr are refining the methodology that synthesizes decades of research from systems theory, complexity science, applied psychology, and implementation studies. This collaborative approach ensures Haus Europa stands on the shoulders of giants while contributing new insights to the knowledge commons.
Our Commitment
Together, the Haus Europa team represents a unique combination of corporate experience and entrepreneurial grit, academic rigor and practical wisdom, local rootedness and global perspective. United by the belief that the only probable future is the one we truly desire and create through concrete steps, we’re building the infrastructure for implementation that Europe needs – one that develops makers who turn innovation into real-world results that shift the status quo.
Haus Europa is globally connected: an associate member of CIVICUS (a global alliance of civil society), part of the Civics Innovation Hub network for civic educators, and a member of the Inner Development Goals (IDG) network—promoting skills for a sustainable future.
